Steps to uninstall McAfee True Key from your computer:

You can find this app in the list of installed programs on your computer as the application has now been developed independently by McAfee. To uninstall the same, go through the list of programs.

  • Step 1: You would have to close all the web browsers that are running at that moment.
  • Step 2: Now, press WIN+X to access the WinX menu
  • Step 3: At the very top, you will find ‘Apps and features.’ Select that.
  • Step 4: Then, try to find True Key and click right on it.
  • Step 5: Finally, select ‘Uninstall’ to remove the application from your device.

If you could not locate True Key in the program list, it indicates that the application might be bundled in with some other McAfee application. Try uninstalling those programs too in order to remove True Key.

It might not remove the True Key’s services that run in the background. To get rid of them as well, refer to the following steps:

  • Step 1: Press Win+R to open the Run dialogue box

  • Step 5: Head to ‘C:\Program Files\True Key
  • Step 6: Delete all the available files from this folder
